How applying usually works

Most programmes follow the same arc, whether it is a Bulgarian grant through ISUN or an EU call on the Funding & Tenders Portal. The details differ by call, but these are the stages, and where a lawyer usually saves you time or trouble.

  1. Shortlist the right programmes

    Match your project to calls that are open or coming, and read each call's conditions, not only the headline.

    How YARD Law helps: We screen the programmes against your company and project and tell you which are worth the effort.

  2. Confirm eligibility and structure

    SME status counts linked and partner companies. State aid already received and outstanding public debts can rule you out. Some calls need a consortium or a Bulgarian entity.

    How YARD Law helps: We check SME status and group structure and your de minimis history, and set up or restructure the company or consortium if needed.

  3. Prepare the application

    Application form, budget, declarations, supplier quotes, and for EU calls the PIC registration and proposal templates. Bulgarian calls are signed with a qualified electronic signature (КЕП).

    How YARD Law helps: We review the call documents with you and prepare or check the declarations, partner and supplier contracts, IP and licence terms.

  4. Submit, then evaluation

    Submit before the deadline. Evaluators may ask for clarifications within short deadlines.

  5. Contract or investment agreement

    A grant contract with the managing authority, a grant agreement with the EU, or an investment and shareholders' agreement with a fund.

  6. Implementation, reporting and payments

    Spend according to the approved budget, follow the rules for choosing suppliers, report, and keep records for audits.

Status comes from the source
A status is what the official source showed when it was last read, never a guess from dates. If every deadline on an "open" record has passed, it shows as Unknown until it is re-checked.
Budgets are not grants
The total programme budget is the whole envelope. The amount one company can get is shown separately as the per-beneficiary range.
Verification levels
Verified by YARD Law: a reviewer checked the call documents. Checked against official source: the automated sync confirmed it. Research draft: compiled from official sources, not yet confirmed in full.
Translations and summaries
Official programme names and reference numbers are kept as published. English titles of Bulgarian calls, and all summaries, are our own (AI-assisted) and are not official texts.
Duplicates
The same call often appears on several portals. Records are matched by call identifier first, then by title and deadline, so each call appears once.

Grants, equity, computing credits and other public funding for AI, automation, digital transformation, GPU and cloud infrastructure, R&D and start-ups, from Bulgarian and EU sources. Each record links to the official announcement, says when it was last checked, and marks anything not yet verified.
